Welcome Message
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our sincere pleasure to invite you to take part in the 2nd International Conference of Geriatric Emergency & Critical Care (ICGEC) to be held in Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan on December 4, 2010.The meeting includes speeches given by experts from various fields of Elderly Medical Care, Elderly Trauma Care, Elderly Emergency Care, and Elderly Critical Care. Speakers and participants are encouraged to share their experience on selected topics. The forum is organized to ensure a fruitful and eventful discussion on the global, cross-cultural perspective on Elderly Care.
It is a wonderful opportunity to welcome all participants to visit the beautiful island of Taiwan and experience its multifaceted culture as well as the hospitality of its people. Taiwan is a new, exciting and safe destination for travelers around the world. Recent advancements have transformed Taiwan into an island with simple and easy transportations, particularly the Taiwan High Speed Rail (HSR) designed to travel at a high speed of 350 km per hour, thereby requiring only 90 minutes traveling time between Taipei and Kaohsiung (two cities on the Northern and Southern ends of Taiwan).
The multi-cultural facets of Taiwan blend with its impression that combines the history of the past and a glimpse into the future will render all who approach the island an unforgettable experience. I cordially invite you to attend the forum, and I eagerly await your arrival in December, 2010.
